ENGLAND based Socceroos pair Tim Cahill and Scott McDonald could be ready to resume for Everton and Middlesbrough respectively tonight after spells out with injury.
Everton, who face Birmingham City in the English Premier League tonight, could welcome back Cahill who hasn't featured since limping off against Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League last month.
Toffees boss David Moyes said in his pre-match briefing: "Louis Saha is back training as is Tim Cahill. Overall we are pretty healthy and we hopefully go into the game with most people available."
In the Championship, McDonald's Middlesbrough face fellow North-East club Newcastle.
While the Socceroo strikerĀ is back in training, it appears he is unlikely to start due to ongoing issues with a hernia problem.
Boro boss Gordon Strachan said: "We don't know if he'll be available yet, we've got to have a look now at the reaction.
"It would be great to get him back again. That was more bad luck for us, he's only played four games out of eight and in those four he wasn't fully fit."
