All three players were injured in Friday's 1-1 draw with Korea Republic, but team doctor Mark Jones said Wilkshire (groin), Carney (shoulder) and Culina (knee) had attended a recovery session on Saturday morning and would be assessed on a day-by-day basis.

"They've pulled up reasonable so we'll just see how they are," Jones said.

"With the guys who have had injuries in the past, often those can settle down within a day or two, and a knock can often settle as well, so it's just a day-by-day situation."

It has emerged against Korea that Culina re-injured a pre-existing knee problem which he'd been nursing at club Gold Coast United.

It is also believed he may be subsequently ruled out for the entire tournament.

Skipper Lucas Neill said if any of the trio couldn't take their place against Bahrain he was adamant the Socceroos had the squad depth to cover them.

"We've got a good squad, lots of depth and if those guys can't step up and aren't selected then I'm sure other guys will come in and fill the void," Neill said.

Australia's goalscorer against Korea, Mile Jedinak was optimistic the trio would be fit for Bahrain.

"They seem to be all right, happy with everything. Once they are assessed properly we will see how they pull up but at this stage it's looking good," Jedinak said.
