MANCHESTER City manager Roberto Mancini has confirmed influential midfielder David Silva will miss the club's next two matches through injury.
Silva was taken off with a hamstring strain during Spain's World Cup qualifying draw with France on Tuesday.
After initial fears of a lengthy absence, Mancini has revealed the 26-year-old could return for next weekend's clash with Swansea, ruling him out of Saturday's visit to West Brom and a midweek Champions League clash with Ajax.
"We have a lot of injury problems after the international break," Mancini told reporters. "David has a hamstring problem and is not ready for tomorrow.
"We hope that he will be ready for the next Premier League game against Swansea."
The City manager also confirmed that Javi Garcia and Jack Rodwell would be missing for his side's trip to the Hawthorns.
He added: "Javi I think will be out for another week maybe, Jack is out too."
