The committee for security and public order in Parma on Thursday banned visiting fans from attending the encounter on security grounds.

Nevertheless, Inter's hardcore supporters' group, the Ultras, have stated they will travel to Parma with the team on the cusp of clinching a third Scudetto in succession this weekend.

A statement from the Ultras - collectively known as the Curva Nord after the section of the San Siro they traditionally occupy - read: "The Curva Nord wishes to confirm the only certainty, which is that the Inter fans will be there.

"Whether one likes it or not, there will be an invasion of Inter fans inside or outside the stadium.

"You cannot think that with 100 kilometres separating Milan from Parma, Inter fans can be [prevented from travelling].

"The wish by the hundreds of emails and telephone calls we have received from Inter fans all over Italy is to wait for the team outside the stadium... once the game ends.

"There is no decree or ban that prevents us from this."

Inter lead title rivals Roma by just one point ahead of this weekend's final round of Serie A fixtures.
