FORMER Australia youth international Danny Invincibile could be pondering a return home to the A-League after being released by Scottish Premier League club St Johnstone.
Brisbane-born Invincibile is one of nine players who have been let go by St Johnstone, who finished last season as the SPL's lowest scorers with 23 goals in 38 games.
Invincibile, 32, has spent the past decade in the United Kingdom with Swindon Town, Kilmarnock and St Johnstone.
The ex-Brisbane Strikers and Marconi winger/striker had been approached by Melbourne Victory in 2006 but said he wasn't ready to come home at the time.
Invincibile, who was called up for the Socceroos for a friendly against South Korea in 2009, had joined St Johnstone on a short-term deal last February after being released by Kilmarnock in January.
The Queensland Academy of Sport product made 13 appearances for the Saints, scoring one goal.
