IPSWICH have pulled off a coup with the capture of Mexican forward Giovani dos Santos on loan from Tottenham.
Spurs beat Manchester City to the signing of the highly-rated 19-year-old from Barcelona in the summer for a sum in excess of £4million, but he has struggled at White Hart Lane since suffering an ankle injury in November.
Dos Santos appeared destined for great things when he made 28 appearances for Barca last season, also appearing in the Champions League.
Dos Santos, who has one goal in 12 appearances for Spurs, will now go straight into the Tractor Boys' squad to play Reading in the Coca-Cola Championship as Ipswich look to claw their way back into the play-off picture.
