Reigning Asian Cup champions Iraq beat India 2-0 today in an international friendly in United Arab Emirates.
Iraq opened the scoring after 17 minutes when they were awarded a penalty, Mustapha Karim making no mistake from the spot.
They continued to pile on the pressure in the second half and were rewarded for their efforts after 66 minutes thanks to Mahdi Kareem's strike.
Iraq will continue their build-up to this month's Gulf Cup against Kuwait on November 17.
That match comes three days after Kuwait also face India in preparation for the 2011 Asian Cup, which will be held in Qatar in January.
