Burton booked their spot in the final 32 of the tournament - known officially as the 'Carabao Cup' - with a 2-1 win over Cardiff City on Tuesday.

However, to make the fourth round, they have to get past reigning title holders Manchester United.

To make things even more difficult, United were drawn out first meaning the tie will be played at Old Trafford.

There could be as many as three Aussies on the pitch in another final 32 match-up, with Adam Federici and Brad Smith's Bournemouth drawn against Mat Ryan's Brighton & Hove Albion.

Smith played his first minutes since February as Bournemouth booked their spot in the third round on Tuesday with a 2-1 win over Birmingham City.

Socceroos skipper Mile Jedinak and Aston Villa have a home tie against Middlesbrough, Aaron Mooy's Huddersfield Town drew Crystal Palace away, while Bristol City and Bailey Wright will host Stoke City.

Meanwhile, in a hilarious bit of fate, Kiwi striker Chris Wood will face former side Leeds United, just weeks after joining Premier League outfit Burnley.

The third round matches will be played in the week starting September 18.
