The Spanish midfielder was targeted by other A-League clubs including Western Sydney Wanderers but will remain in Adelaide until at least the end of the 2019/20 season.

The 29-year-old has been an integral player for the club since joining the Reds prior to the 2013/14 season.

Isaías, who has scored five goals in 104 appearances for the Reds, was instrumental in Adelaide securing its historic Premiers’ Plate and Championship double in its 2015/16 campaign.

He also helped the club lift the inaugural FFA Cup in 2014.

Isaías said he looked forward to helping the club achieve more success in the future.

“This is a fantastic feeling because it is a long-term contract and it will be very good for my family as well,” he said.

“Obviously I’m staying here because I enjoy my life here in Adelaide, but I’m also staying here because I want to get more success and win more titles.

“And this is one of the reasons why I’m staying, because I believe and I trust this Club and this team and the style we play and I’m sure of more success in the future.”

Coach Guillermo Amor said he was thrilled to have secured Isaías’ services for another three years.

“Isaías is a very good player and he’s the best in his position in the league, he’s happy here in Adelaide,” he said.

“He had offers from other clubs, but he has chosen to stay with us, which is fantastic.

“It’s great for the team, he’s a very good player, a great professional and it’s great news in this moment that he wants to spend more time in Adelaide.”
