Chelsea have hit back at claims they are discriminating against UK-based supporters with Greek surnames wanting to buy tickets for the Champions League clash with Olympiacos.
Reports have suggested that the club would cancel tickets purchased by home-based supporters of Greek origin, but the Blues tonight insisted as long as the tickets are purchased in person there would be no problem.
They have blocked non-members with Greek surnames from buying tickets online in order to ensure they comply with UEFA rules on fan segregation.
It is understood a significant number of Olympiacos supporters attempted to buy tickets in an area reserved for Chelsea fans.
