ROBBIE Keane declared "it's great to be back" after Tottenham's 0-0 draw with north London rivals Arsenal today.
Keane was installed as the new Spurs captain after his deadline-day deal ended a six-month spell with Liverpool.
And after today's White Hart Lane stalemate in the Barclays Premier League the Republic of Ireland international striker said: "It's great to be back.
"The fans have always been superb to me and it was the same today."
It could have been a fairytale return for Keane had his 56th minute header from Aaron Lennon's cross gone in, instead of hitting the bar.
And the striker continued on Sky Sports 1: "It was a great ball by Aaron. It didn't go in but we kept plugging away.
"We were pushing for the whole game, give us credit for that.
"We couldn't break them down but hopefully we can push up the table now."
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp continued: "It was a decent team performance.
"Robbie worked hard and Wilson Palacios did well - I think he will go on to be a terrific player for Tottenham."
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger did not have a clear opinion on the first half dismissal of midfielder Emmanuel Eboue.
He added on Sky Sports News: "The first yellow card was very harsh and the second I didn't see at all.
"If he deserved a yellow we'll see on video."
