The Mariners like to market themselves as the family club, and a staple of the Central Coast community. Their players are certainly taking this on board.
Mariners' midfielder Jacob Melling has made a mark on social media this morning after paying for someone's breakfast in a crowded 'Coast cafe, due to an issue with the patron's eftpos card.
Melling noticed a Jimmy G's cafe customer had been unable to pay for their meal and had left the cafe to call their bank, when unbeknownst to them, he paid for their meal.
When the customer returned to find out Melling had shouted them breakfast, they were suitably impressed.
Ever tried to pay for something and your card wouldn't work? Next time, just call Jacob Melling to save the day! 😂

Just another day in the life of a Mariner. Well done, Jacob! #CCMFC #ALeague pic.twitter.com/JLEZx1WZyi
Melling is clearly feeling the afterglow of strong performances this season, however the Mariners have a stern test in this weekend's match against Western Sydney Wanderers.
A win will see the Mariners draw even with the seventh placed Wanderers.
