SOCCEROO call-up Ryan McGowan's Scottish outfit Partick Thistle are understood to be keen to extend his loan deal after a number of impressive performances for the club.
McGowan, who was yesterday named in Holger Osieck's train-on squad to assemble in Germany next week, has made five appearances for the Jags since his loan switch from Scottish Premier League high-flyers Hearts last month.
The promising 21-year-old's loan at Partick expires at the end of the month, but the Jags have an option to extend the deal by another four weeks.
Jags assistant Ian Maxwell told The Glaswegian: "Ryan has done well in recent weeks. Above all else he is a nice big guy. He is willing to learn, works hard and has a great attitude.
"He probably still needs a few more games to get match fit but he is steadily getting there.
"Ryan's size is obviously an asset and gives us a threat at set pieces in attacking situations while also being useful for defending set plays at the other end.
"He will be an important member of the squad as long as he is here."
Adelaide-born McGowan originally joined Partick in a bid to win more game time after making only two first-team appearances for Hearts this term.
