AUSSIES ABROAD: Socceroo Mile Jedinak scored his third goal in three Turkish Super Lig matches as Genclerbirligi came from behind to draw 2-2 at Besiktas on Friday.
Besiktas had taken a two-goal advantage in the game thanks to strikes from Simao Sabrosa and Ibrahim Toraman.
But Gencler responded through Jedinak on 62 minutes.
The Australia international curled a wonderful free-kick into the top corner from the edge of the box.
Ten minutes later, Genclerbirligi levelled through Mustafa Pektemek's cool finish and that's how it would end.
Elsewhere on Friday, Tommy Oar started and played a full game while Michael Zullo was a half-time sub as FC Utrecht lost 3-0 at Heerenveen in Holland's Eredivisie.
Oar came close to scoring in the second-half when his free-kick was bound for the top corner only for Heerenveen keeper Kevin Stuhr-Ellegaard to pull off a fine save.
The result, Utrecht's fourth consecutive defeat, is a blow to their Europa League playoffs hopes.
Fellow Australian Adam Sarota was an unused sub in the game.
In Ireland's Premier Division, Aussie goalkeeper Chris O'Connor played a full game as Bohemians drew 1-1 with Shamrock Rovers.
In China's Super League, Adam Griffiths put in a full shift in defence as Hangzhou Greentown went top with a 1-0 win over Qingdao Jonoon.
