Socceroos skipper Mile Jedinak has been forced off injured in just his second start of the season for Aston Villa.
Jedinak only recently returned from a groin injury, scoring a hat-trick as Australia defeated Honduras 3-1 on aggregate in the 2018 World Cup inter-confederation play-off.
The midfielder had also made four appearances off the bench for Villa before being handed a start in Saturday's 2-0 win over Ipswich Town in the Championship.
However, Jedinak had to be replaced after 26 minutes after succumbing to a shoulder injury.
“Jedinak has a problem with his shoulder,” Bruce said.
“For him to come off with it, there’s something wrong.
“We hope it’s not too bad.”
