Aston Villa's coaching staff are hugely impressed with Mile Jedinak starring at the back, with the Aussie captain earning considerable praise for his efforts.
Jedinak's played the last two matches at centreback for the Villans in John Terry's absence, dominating as a central defender in two 1-0 wins.
Both Cardiff City and now Leeds United - promotion contenders - have failed to sneak past the Socceroos captain, who led his side in clearances and aerial duels (winning eight of the latter) in the last encounter.
As FourFourTwo previously wrote, Jedinak could provide a stunning solution to Bert van Marwijk's centreback issues, solidifying a leaky defence while allowing Aaron Mooy and Massimo Luongo to form a more fluid midfield screen.
Villa's assistant coach, Colin Calderwood, believes the World Cup is on Jedi's mind.
"He's been terrific. What he's got coming up in the summer has certainly helped us a lot," Calderwood told the club website.
"He's been a terrific influence on the dressing room.
"He's been excellent pre-match, post-match, and it's that character I think you players can learn off and have to watch."
