James Jeggo has been offered a new deal by his club Sturm Graz but is keeping his options open as his contract winds down.
Jeggo, who joined the Austrian giant from Adelaide United in January 2016, is off-contract at the end of the 2017/2018 season.
The Australian midfielder has been a regular with Sturm Graz in the past six months, making 23 appearances out of a possible 28 in all competitions.
Jeggo has ambitions to play in one of the best leagues in Europe one day and is keen to see what offers come in over the next four months.
“There’s a little bit of uncertainty,” he told FourFourTwo.
“The club’s spoken to me and wants to re-sign me, there’s an offer there if I want to take it. But we’ll see. With any player when you do well you want to try and take that next step and everyone has ambitions to play at the highest level possible.
“Coming off contract where clubs [don’t] have to pay for you makes that a little easier and if you are playing regularly there’s an advantage to be coming out of contract.
“The other side of it is if you get injured or you’re not playing then suddenly you could be not be in as strong a position. But I’ve always had a good relationship with the sports director and we’ve always been quite open with each other and he knows the situation and he’s comfortable with it.
“I’ve always said to him that I’ve absolutely loved my time here and I’m really happy and enjoying my football.”

Sturm Graz are in a battle with Red Bull for the Austrian Bundesliga title, with Jeggo’s club second on the table and just two points behind league leaders Red Bull.
The 25-year-old has stressed that he is happy at Die Schwoazn, and is no rush to leave, but also wants to see what unfolds in the near future.
In October Jeggo was reportedly a target for English clubs Leeds United, Hull City and Middlesbrough, according to The Daily Mail.
“I enjoy living here and it’s not that I’m looking to move away from the club at all – but being in that position where it would be theoretically a decent time to make another step up,” the former Adelaide United and Melbourne Victory man said.
“That’s something if that opportunity comes, and I think it is a good opportunity for me, then it’s something I would definitely grasp.
“It’s a little bit up in the air but as I’ve always said the most important thing is you’re playing well, week-in-week-out and that you’re improving and the rest takes care of itself.”
