Croatia striker Nikica Jelavic is set to become Walter Smith's third new signing for Rangers.
Jelavic will arrive at Murray Park tomorrow for a medical and to conclude personal terms after the Ibrox club finally reached agreement with Rapid Vienna today.
The Croatian refused to play for Rapid in tonight`s Europa League play-off against Aston Villa as he tried to force the Austrian club into paving the way for the transfer which will reportedly cost the Ibrox club around £4million.
Chief executive Martin Bain told the club's official website, www.rangers.co.uk: "We have agreed a fee with Rapid for Nikica Jelavic and we have also agreed personal terms in principle.
"He will arrive tomorrow when we will hope to complete these and when he will also undergo a medical."
If all goes well, the 24-year-old will join sign Slovakia international Vladimir Weiss, who signed for the Scottish champions on a one-year loan deal.
The Manchester City winger arrived in Glasgow earlier today to complete the move, having also been linked with Old Firm rivals Celtic, as well as Stuttgart and Sampdoria.
Last week Rangers boss Smith captured James Beattie from Stoke for an undisclosed fee.
