The pair is among five changes to the squad that farewelled Australia with a 2-1 win over New Zealand.

Boss Pim Verbeek confirmed the changes for the game in Roodeport, with arguably the Socceroos' strongest defence to take the pitch.

Luke Wilkshire and Scott Chipperfield will take up their positions on the right and left, either side of central pairing Craig Moore and Lucas Neill.

Shot stopper Mark Schwarzer will return from his thumb injury.

Verbeek says the result is not of immense importance.

"I am not interested in the result at all," Verbeek told ABC Sport. "Of course we like to win but I'm looking for tactical organization, the way the team defends, the way we build up, the way we attack.

"If we win it will be nice, it we lose it will be okay also."

Youngsters Tommy Oar and James Holland, along with reserve keeper Eugene Galekovic, know they will be left out unless there is a spate of injuries.

It leaves two players to be cut by Verbeek to make the 23 and midfielder Mark Bresciano believes it is positive for the squad.

"It keeps everyone on their toes, fit and sharp at training, focused on the team and doing well," he said.

"I think it's positive. And the coach is going to have his problems because everyone's fit and doing well."

It was revealed earlier this week that star duo Harry Kewell and Brett Emerton would not be risked against Denmark, with the latter returning to full training on Monday.

Socceroos starting line-up vs. Denmark: Mark Schwarzer, Luke Wilkshire, Craig Moore, Lucas Neill, Scott Chipperfield, Vince Grella, Jason Culina, Richard Garcia, Tim Cahill, Mark Bresciano, Josh Kennedy.
