Newcastle Jets assistant coach Luciano Trani has left the Club with immediate effect.
Trani's exit follows Wednesday's sacking of head coach Scott Miller.
Newcastle CEO Lawrie McKinna confirmed that Trani had been released from his role at the Club Thursday afternoon.
“We have chosen to give the Club’s new Head Coach the opportunity to appoint his own Assistant,” McKinna said.
“Luciano joined Newcastle Jets in June this year and has helped prepare the squad for the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 Season.
“We wish him well in his future endeavours,” McKinna said.
As a result of Trani’s departure, Jets youth coach Clayton Zane will oversee first team training until further notice.
Zane will also be at the helm of the first team on Sunday when the Jets play Edgeworth FC at Jack McLaughlan Oval.
