Newcastle CEO Lawrie McKinna has denied the club is set to sign Western Sydney striker Kerem Bulut.
Bulut is out of favour at the Wanderers and appears likely to leave the club next month. A move north to the Jets for the forward has been heavily rumoured.
But McKinna said the Jets, who are looking to boost their injury-hit squad, aren't after Bulut.
"There's not truth at all to that," he told FourFourTwo. "It's never been discussed."
Bulut returned to Western Sydney in August after a year in the Greek Super League with Iraklis.
The 24-year old has only made six appearances for the Wanderers this season and has yet to score a goal. He has been omitted from the club's squad for the past three rounds of the A-League.
Bulut will miss Western Sydney's match with Brisbane Roar tomorrow with what the club has claimed is an ankle injury.
