Newcastle Jets has put behind a week to forget with a 4-0 pre-season victory over Northern New South Wales NPL champions Edgeworth on Sunday.
New signing Andrew Hoole impressed with a double as the Jets, led by interim coach Clayton Zane, cruised at Jack McLaughlin Oval.
Hoole opened the scoring just before the half hour mark from the penalty spot after Morten Nordstrand was fouled.
Nordstrand was the provider again with a neat back-heel which set up Devante Clut for the second on 42 minutes.
The Dane got his goal on 58 minutes, finishing from close range after Andrew Nabbout’s cross.
Ex-Sydney FC midfielder Hoole added the fourth on 71 minutes with a strike from outside the box.
The Jets are next in action in pre-season on Sunday against Melbourne City in Ballarat.
