The Jordan Football Association have announced that they have sacked coach Nelo Vingada following Jordan's disappointing start to their 2011 Asian Cup qualifying campaign.
Jordan have managed to pick up just one point from two matches in Group E after a scoreless draw with Thailand in their first match before losing 2-1 to Singapore last Wednesday.
"We decided not to extend the contract of Mr Vingada and the coaching staff following the disappointing and surprising defeat at the hands of Singapore in the Asian Cup qualifiers," said Jordan FA vice president Nidal Al Hadeed.
"We will be looking to get a new coach for the national team as soon as possible in order to prepare the team for the remaining matches in the continental qualifiers."
