JOSH Kennedy is raring to go against Denmark tonight and is confident he's overcome the back niggle that kept him out of the win over New Zealand at the MCG.
To see the Socceroos train overnight ...
With Harry Kewell not risked, Kennedy will get his chance to stake his claim for the lone front man in Pim Verbeek's concrete 4-2-3-1 formation.
"There are no more problems with my back," Kennedy told The Australian. "We've had some tough sessions and I've got through them no worries. It's a good feeling to be out there and have no niggles."
One of the biggest talking points in South Africa at the moment is not who will win the tournament but the balls that will be used at the World Cup.
Goalkeepers have expressed varying degrees of alarm over the adidas Jabulani ball but the new ball also brings challenges for players at the other end of the pitch.
"They are definitely a lot harder to anticipate," said Kennedy. "Obviously with the balls in the altitude, they dip and swerve a lot more. You've got to watch it right until it lands on your head."
