McCloughan and his teammates welcome the Scottish giants to Suncorp Stadium for the annual Queensland Roars Against Racism game and the home side cannot wait.

Sydney enjoyed a high profile match against LA Galaxy while Melbourne Victory have entertained Juventus in the last year or so.

While the A-League's profile continues to grow overseas, McCloughan accepts that much of the attention has been on Australia's two biggest cities.

He told au.fourfourtwo.com: "I think this game against Celtic is a huge opportunity in our own back yard.

"It's a tremendous thing for football in Brisbane, to show people that we have a team and a club that competes hard with the rest.

"Maybe people already know about Sydney and Melbourne so hopefully this game (against Celtic) is a chance to get Brisbane more on the radar with people."

McCloughan accepts his team will be tested to the full on Sunday, especially against Socceroo striker Scott McDonald.

He said: "He is a very strong lad with a lot of ability so we will need to work hard to stop him."

Aside from the Celtic clash, McCloughan is keen to help Roar become Queensland's top dog in the A-League.

He has seen the bookmakers odds which have Roar favourites to see off the challenge of new boys Gold Coast and North Queensland.

He said: "I think that's because we have a solid squad who all know each other and we've been pretty consistent over the last two years, missing out on the grand final by a whisker."
