“I think in every game, teams will target Juninho,” the striker said after training at Sydney Football Stadium ahead of their clash with Melbourne Victory.

“He's had that all over the world so he'll be used to it. He's probably expecting it but again it leaves more room for the likes of Corica and myself to weave our magic.”

“Muscat will be the same as always, like to get stuck in but is a good ball player and he thrives on those games.”

Brosque's burgeoning partnership is proving to be a key weapon in Sydney's front third. His goal – off a slide rule Juninho through ball – unlocked the Jets defence last week.

“I think it is the biggest game of the season, they're the reigning champions, they set the standard last year. They're the only undefeated team so you've got to pay respect for that.

“Matches are always good against Victory... it should be a cracker.”

Two back-to-back wins for the season one champions has, according to Brosque, given the squad a belief ahed of what looms as a testing examination by the Victorians.

“The mood in the camp is very good. A lot more relaxed than a month ago so it's the best time for us to face Melbourne on the back of two good wins.”

Like Brosque, Victory has its own form striker in Archie Thompson. And FC skipper Mark Rudan is sure the livewire forward is another key to the game.

“Archie is Archie,” said Rudan. “He's always going to score goals. All their strikers are coming into form, including Love, who's hitting some form.

“It's just another game for us, albeit the champions. We put our pride on the line when we play them.

“We hope the fans can witness the rivalry live rather than watch it on TV!”
