The game at the MCG will be a farwell match for the Socceroos before jetting off the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia.

Brazil fell to South American rival Argentina 1-0 in Melbourne on Friday, but Australia are coming off a 3-2 win over Saudi Arabia in a World Cup Qualifier in Adelaide on Thursday night.

Socceroos Juric, Aaron Mooy, Trent Sainsbury, Mat Ryan, Tom Rogic, Mathew Leckie and Robbie Kruse got to meet Brazilian stars Philippe Coutinho, Fernandinho, Alex Sandro and Douglas Costa at a Nike Futsal event on Saturday night.

Juric was asked what his thoughts were about facing the Brazilians and Kruse joked in the background “we’ve been talking about it all day” - an indication the Roos will not be starstruck by the Brazilians.

“It’s no big deal, No.1 is just a number I guess and we prepare for this game like we would for any other game,” Juric said.

“Everything right on the pitch, and off it with the analysis, everything from top to bottom so it’ll be no different.

“It’s going to a challenge no doubt, there’s some fantastic players to play against and it’d be good to really measure yourself against players like this but just another game.

“I think after their loss against Argentina they might want to come out and actually show something with their football but we’ll wait and see and hopefully we’ll have a good game on Tuesday night.”

Juric also said the game against Brazil will be a another good opportunity to test the 3-4-3 formation Ange Postecoglou has opted for.

Sainsbury sick of media hammering

Today Sainsbury defended the Socceroos in regards to their critics, saying they pay no attention to flak.

Juric had a brace against the Saudis and as the game was deadlocked at 2-2 at half-time, and there were some worried faces in the Australian crowd before Tom Rogic fired home a rocket in the second half.

But the FC Luzern striker said good teams find a way to win despite looking rusty.

“I guess you could say there were other Australian squads, you would get into that position and you might get the draw or even lose the game,” Juric said.

“We’re finding ways to win which is a real confidence booster for us. The game can easily turn on its head, you can easily lose control of the game but we always seem to keep control of the game.

“We hold the tempo like we need to, when we need to defend, we defend. We do well with the ball, we’re finding ways to win… even when we can’t.”
