Tomi Juric will head into the Socceroos' play-off with Honduras in scoring form after finding the net for Luzern on Sunday.
The striker scored the side's third goal in a 3-0 win over fellow Swiss Super League side St Gallen.
Juric was relieved to have scored after a huge chance to make it 2-0 just minutes earlier.
After Luzern won a penalty, Juric took the spot-kick only for it to be saved.
However, to save his blushes, a team-mate was on hand to smash home the rebound.
The win - just Luzern's third in 14 games - lifts them off the bottom of the table.
