Socceroos striker Tomi Juric returned to club football with a brace in FC Luzern's 2-1 win over Croatian club Osijek in the Europa League overnight.
Juric scored on 19 and 62 minutes to give the Swiss club a 2-0 lead before Osijek pulled one back late.
The result wasn't enough for Luzern to progress to the next qualifying round, however, going down 3-2 on aggregate.
The new Swiss Super League season starts this weekend, with Juric's Luzern at home to Lugano on Sunday.
Juric finished last season with a rush of five goals, before netting a double for Australia against Saudi Arabia and also against Germany at the Confederations Cup.
