Juric scored on 19 and 62 minutes to give the Swiss club a 2-0 lead before Osijek pulled one back late.

The result wasn't enough for Luzern to progress to the next qualifying round, however, going down 3-2 on aggregate.

The new Swiss Super League season starts this weekend, with Juric's Luzern at home to Lugano on Sunday.

Juric finished last season with a rush of five goals, before netting a double for Australia against Saudi Arabia and also against Germany at the Confederations Cup.

Elsewhere, Golgol Mebrahtu was also on the scoresheet for Czech club Mlada Boleslav as they eased past Shamrock Rovers 2-0.

Mebrahtu scored Mlada Boleslav's second goal on 31 minutes as they won 5-2 on aggregate.

Jimmy Jeggo was a 73rd minute substitute as Sturm Graz triumphed 3-0 away from home to clinch a 3-1 aggregate win.
