SYDNEY FC defender Matthew Jurman will miss the rest of the A-League season after suffering a stress fracture in his right foot, the club revealed today.
Jurman will be in a plaster cast and on crutches for the next six weeks before immediately commencing a rehabilitation programme, but the 20-year-old is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for 2010/11 preseason training.
"It's really disappointing because both the A-League and Youth League teams are doing very well," Jurman said. "Sydney FC have been great to me.
"I will rest up and work closely with our club physiotherapist and do everything right."
After making his A-League debut last season, the Young Socceroo has started seven games on the bench in the 2009/10 Hyundai A-League, registering 41 minutes of playing time.
