Juventus clinched the Serie B title on Saturday after beating Mantova 2-0.
The Bianconeri, demoted to the second tier last summer as punishment for their part in the match-fixing scandal, have dominated the division, but had to wait until now to guarantee top spot.
France striker David Trezeguet put Juve ahead 10 minutes into the second half and former European player of the year Pavel Nedved doubled their advantage with 17 minutes to go.
Despite the title success, speculation still persists as to the future of coach Didier Deschamps.
Earlier in the day, Juve posted a statement on their website insisting Deschamps was still in his job, but admitted that certain matters needed to be clarified.
The statement on www.juventus.com read: "Juventus have been given no communication about the resignation of Didier Deschamps.
"Therefore the coach will be on the bench as normal for today's game with Mantova.
"Managing director Jean-Claude Blanc will continue conversations, which were already started during the week, to rapidly clarify the question with the interested party."
A press conference will be held on Saturday evening with Deschamps and the club's directors in attendance.
The 38-year-old has already been linked with the Lyon post vacated at the end of this season by Gerard Houllier.
