Prosecutors were seeking a five-year sentence for Giraudo, who was found guilty of sporting fraud and conspiracy.

Juventus were demoted to the second division in 2006 for attempting to rig games by selecting favourable referees.

Giraudo was banned from football-related activities for five years by a sporting tribunal three years ago.

He is unlikely to serve his sentence because the acts date back to before May 2006 and are therefore covered by an amnesty.
