Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri has revealed his interest in Werder Bremen midfielder Diego.
The Brazilian has long been linked with a move to the Serie A giants, and Ranieri has confirmed he is considering bringing the 23-year-old to the Stadio Olimpico.
"We're keeping an eye on him, because he's very good" he told Juventus Channel. "But we have to evaluate everything about the matter.
"Of course I like him, but we also have to think about the balance of the squad."
Juventus are on the verge of signing young Slavia Sofia goalkeeper Mario Kirev, who had a week's trial with the Bianconeri last month, according to the player's agent.
If the deal goes through it is likely the 19-year-old Bulgaria Under-21 international, who has been likened to Gianluigi Buffon, will be sent out on loan to gain experience.
"Many clubs asked about Mario, also other Italian ones," said Giacomo Petralito, who also represents Diego. "But we only had official contact with Manchester City, Getafe and Hamburg.
"But as soon as Juventus got scent of his talent every other discussion fell away.
"Juve already decided in December, so much so that the player had his medical then, we only had to wait until January to make it official."
