A late goal from Mattheaus salvaged a 2-2 draw for Daegu FC at K-League leaders Jeonbuk Motors.
Eninho put Jeonbuk ahead seven minutes before the break only for Daegu to equalise just before the hour thanks to Kim Hyun-sung.
With 20 minutes remaining, Eninho turned provider for Shim Woo-yeon to head home and restore Jeonbuk's lead but Mattheaus struck three minutes from time to claim a point for Daegu.
"The performance in the first and second halves were different," said Jeonbuk coach Choi Kang-hee.
"Our concentration levels dropped as did our physical condition. We missed chances and that made the game a difficult one."
Pohang Steelers won 2-0 at the home of bottom club Gangwon FC to move within four points of Jeonbuk.
Koh Moo-yeol put Pohang ahead five minutes after the restart and Derek Asamoah sealed the win on the hour.
A last-minute goal from Mauricio Molina gave FC Seoul a 1-0 win at home to Chunnam Dragons, a fifth straight victory for the champions as they climbed to third, while a goal in each half from Stevica Ristic and Kwak Hee-joo gave Suwon Bluewings a 2-0 win at Gyeongnam FC as they moved into the top six for the first time this season.
Busan I'Park continued their fine form with a 1-0 win at home to Incheon United with Fagner getting the only goal of the game after 25 minutes.
Elsewhere, Jeju United were held to a 3-3 draw by struggling Daejeon Citizen.
Park Song-ho put Daejeon ahead after 26 minutes but five minutes later, Santos equalised for Jeju. Park restored the visitors' lead just before the break but Kang Soo-il levelled for a second time.
Santos thought he had grabbed the winner on the hour but Lee Ho earned a point for Daejeon with seven minutes remaining.
Finally, Sangju Sangmu defeated Gwangju FC 2-0 thanks to goals from Yoo Chang-hyun and Kim Jung-woo.
