The 2006 Asian Champions League winners never looked back after Cho Sung-hwan headed the team ahead from an Eninho corner in the 18th minute. Luiz Henrique fired the visitors further into the lead just after the half-hour and Lee Sung-hyun confirmed the win with a strike four minutes from time.

Second-placed Pohang Steelers stay in touch with Jeonbuk thanks to a hard-fought 3-2 win at Gyeongnam.

Derek Asamoah put Pohang ahead after 23 minutes but Lee Hoon soon equalised for the hosts. Mota restored the visitors' lead 10 minutes after the restart but just before the midway point of the half, Yoon Il-rok once again levelled proceedings. Mota grabbed his second with 21 minutes remaining to give Pohang a vital win.

Jeju United stay in third thanks to a 2-1 win at home to Gwangju FC in a match full of late drama.

Santos put the hosts ahead after 54 minutes but Gwangju looked to have saved a point with a last-minute strike from Yoo Dong-min. There was still time, however, for Bae Ki-jong to give Jeju the three points.

Champions FC Seoul were held to a 1-1 draw by Incheon United. Han Kyo-won put Incheon ahead after 37 minutes but a fine strike from Dejan Damjanovic restored parity just three minutes later. Both sides finished with 10 men after Jang Wo-seok and Yeo Yong-ho saw red late in the game.

Suwon Bluewings won for the second week in succession with a 3-1 victory at Daejeon Citizen. Yang Jun-a, Lee Sang-ho and Hae Tae-gyun got the goals for Suwon while Park Sung-ho was on the scoresheet for the hosts.

Elsewhere, Busan I'Park defeated Ulsan Horang-I 2-0 thanks to Lim Sang-hyob and Yang Dong-hyun while a last-minute strike from Thiago Quirinho, gave Daegu FC a 2-1 win at home to Seongnam Ilhwa. Juninho put the hosts ahead in the first half while Nam Kung-do looked to have rescued a point for Seongnam.
