MUNICH, March 22 (Champions League) - Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn has been handed a one-match ban by UEFA, ruling him out of the opening leg of their Champions League quarter final clash against AC Milan next month.
A statement from European football's governing body confirmed the 36-year-old has been punished for "improper conduct at the doping control" following the first leg of their last-16 encounter with Real Madrid earlier this month.
Kahn was also fined 20,000 Swiss francs (£8,400) while his Bayern team-mate Lucio was handed a fine of 10,000 Swiss francs (£4,200) for a similar offence.
Both players can appeal against the punishments.
