Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn played his final match as a professional in front of 120,000 fans on Tuesday, celebrating with a 3-0 win over Indian club Mohun Bagan Athletic Club.
Jan Schlaudraff scored a brace in addition to a goal from Ze Roberto to end Bayern's post-season tour of Indonesia and India, and brought the curtain down on the 38-year-old Kahn's career.
"This is a very special moment for me," admitted Kahn, who will play a benefit match against the Germany national team in September, but this game marked the official end of his career.
The former Germany number one played 55 minutes before leaving the field to a standing ovation and making way for Michael Rensing, the man who is set to take his place in the Bayern goal.
Kahn was rarely tested by the Indian club as Bayern claimed their third friendly victory since winning the double in Germany.
Schlaudraff, who will join Hannover next season after failing to find the back of the net once in a year with Bayern, took his tally of goals during the three-game tour to 12.
Coach Ottmar Hitzfeld also sat on the bench for the very last time. He makes way for Jurgen Klinsmann next season and will become manager of Switzerland after Euro 2008.
