Former Real Madrid defender Roberto Carlos has backed Kaka to make as big an impact at the Bernabeu as Zinedine Zidane.
Kaka completed his move from AC Milan overnight for a reported fee of around £59million (68 million euros), smashing the £46.7million Madrid paid Juventus for Zidane in 2001 - although not a record in euro terms, with the currency being far stronger than when the Frenchman moved to Spain.
Roberto Carlos, who played for the Spanish giants from 1996 to 2007 before moving to Fenerbahce, said: "I phoned Kaka and calmed him down.
"He already was an idol in Europe and will get used to Madrid easily. I am sure he will shortly be a big name in the history of the club, like (Zinedine) Zidane, Raul, Ronaldo and other big players were."
Roberto Carlos, who also knows Kaka from the Brazil national team, added: "He is a player who decides matches with his talent. I have no doubts he will be a big success."
