KAKA has been withdrawn from the Brazil squad for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers with Paraguay and Argentina after failing to recover from a knee injury.
Selecao coach Dunga made the decision not to risk the AC Milan midfielder and has called up San Pablo midfielder Hernanes.
"We decided to preserve him," said Dunga. "He is recovering and we don't want to force him."
Brazil will play against Venezuela next Friday in a friendly as a final warm up for the matches with Paraguay and Argentina.
