Celtic are set to unveil Olivier Kapo as their latest signing, subject to international clearance.
The Bhoys have announced a press conference for 1300GMT to introduce Kapo.
The former France international is a free agent after leaving Wigan and can sign for a club outside the transfer window.
Kapo began his career with Auxerre before moving to Juventus in 2004, but he struggled to hold down a regular place and had loan spells at Monaco and Levante.
Kapo, who won the last of his nine international caps in 2004, signed for Birmingham in 2007 and followed manager Steve Bruce to Wigan a year later.
The Ivory Coast-born midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at Boulogne but has been without a club since the summer.
However, Celtic now seem set to bolster their options with his capture.

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez is pleased Kapo has found another club.
Martinez said: "Olivier has finished his contract with ourselves, he is a free agent and can join any other club.
"He is ready for a new challenge. He has been a little bit frustrated over the last couple of months so it will be fantastic for him to get involved once more."
