Galaxy take a break from MLS action to host new Spurs coach Andre Villas-Boas's side at the Home Depot Center today.

Keane will the lead the side in the absence of stars Landon Donovan and David Beckham, with coach Bruce Arena likely to use the exhibition match as a chance of handing his younger players game time.

"We have to respect every team that we play against and as a group of players no matter what game you're involved in you want to win," Keane said.

"That will certainly be the case tomorrow, we don't want Tottenham to come over here and walk all over us.

"It's certainly not a game that we're going to be taking lightly, it's a game we want to win."

Arena said the match was a great opportunity to play against quality opposition.

"It's an exhibition, it's valuable for both teams.

"Tottenham will likely play 22 players and we will probably do the same and play the game in the right spirit but still be competitive and try to win the game.

"Obviously we're missing two players from the other night already in (David) Beckham and (Landon) Donovan so we'll make some adjustments."

Beckham was unlucky to miss out on Great Britain's team for the Olympics but Arena said coach Stuart Pearce was entitled to pick whoever he likes.

"I was maybe not surprised as much as I thought the timing of it was poor," Arena said.

"No one can argue the 18 (players) he chooses and the over age players, that's his responsibility.

"I think David's wonderful player, a wonderful personality and we were certainly supportive of him if he was chosen to play for Great Britain but unfortunately that wasn't the case."

Meanwhile, Villas-Boas has been casting his eye over his new squad at their training camp in California ahead of the Galaxy clash before another exhibition with Liverpool in Baltimore on Saturday.

Gareth Bale, fresh from signing a four-year deal, Jermaine Defoe and keeper Brad Friedel are among the squad.
