NEWCASTLE manager Kevin Keegan is confident there will be two new faces at St James' Park by the end of next week.
Danny Guthrie and Jonas Gutierrez have the only new arrivals at the club during pre-season and Keegan is keen to add to his squad.
Speaking after Newcastle's 1-0 friendly defeat at Doncaster, the Magpies boss said he was worried he did not have enough defensive cover ahead of the new Barclays Premier League season.
"Hopefully over the next week or two there will be one or two new faces in," Keegan told www.nufc.co.uk.
"We're looking at two or three players, but we get linked with so many players it's frightening.
"We've got no cover for right or left-back at the moment and that's probably the two most important areas."
