POTENTIAL Socceroo Dean Bouzanis is using technology to boost his chances of banging on the first team door at title-chasing Liverpool.
The young goalkeeper, who could yet represent either Australia or Greece at full international level, has been earning rave reviews at the club this season and has been part of both the reserve team and FA Youth Cup side.
As it stands, there is a formidable figure blocking his path to the first team, one Pepe Reina, but Bouzanis is watching closely to see just what makes Reina the number one choice for Rafa Benitez.
Bouzanis told Liverpool's official website: "I sit down with goalkeeping coach Xavi Valero sometimes and watch tapes of Pepe Reina looking at how he catches the ball, his distribution and how he does things."
Last year, Aussie national coach Pim Verbeek held a meeting with Bouzanis at Anfield in a sign that the Dutchman sees the youngster as an important part of Australia's future.
