AUSSIES ABROAD: Socceroo Joshua Kennedy made his return from injury with a goal in Nagoya Grampus' 5-2 win over Avispa Fukuoka in Japan's J.League on Sunday.
Kennedy, who missed the past month due to injury before returning in the AFC Champions League in midweek, scored the opener on 23 minutes.
The goal was Kennedy's first since scoring in early March, having been equal topscorer in the J.League last season.
Avispa twice levelled the scores before late goals from Jungo Fujimoto, Igor Burzanovic and Keiji Tamada sealed the emphatic victory.
Kennedy, 28, has been included in the Socceroos squad for the upcoming New Zealand and Serbia friendlies.
Elsewhere in Japan's J.League, Socceroo Matt Spiranovic played a full game as Urawa Red Diamonds drew 1-1 with Albirex Niigata while Alex Brosque and Eddy Bosnar both put in full shifts in Shimizu S-Pulse's 0-0 derby draw with Jubilo Iwata.
In Japan's J2.League, Mark Milligan played a full game as JEF United came from two goals down to win 3-2 over Oita Trinita on Sunday, while Jade North was a 90th-minute substitute as FC Tokyo won 4-1 at Kyoto Sanga on Saturday.
Finally and briefly, in Korea's K-League, Luke DeVere scored as Gyeongnam FC drew 1-1 with Jeju United on Sunday.
