SOCCEROO Joshua Kennedy wasted no time following the World Cup to return to his prolific club form with Nagoya Grampus by scoring the winner in a 1-0 victory over Omiya Ardija.
Kennedy fired in a 76th minute winner with his head after Marcus Tulio Tanaka's had dispossessed Omiya's Kazuhiro Murakami before providing an inviting cross for the Australian striker.
The Socceroos frontman, who was sporting a newlook trim hairstyle, converted from close-range to take his J.League tally to nine goals.
Nagoya are currently third in the J.League, two points behind leaders Kashima Antlers, while Kennedy is topscorer in the division.
Elsewhere in the J.League, Eddy Bosnar played a full game at the back as Shimizu S-Pulse were held to a 0-0 draw by Jubilo Iwata. Shimizu are now second.
