AUSSIES ABROAD: Joshua Kennedy has continued his rich vein of goalscoring form with a double in Nagoya Grampus' 4-0 win over Albirex Niigata in Japan's J-League on Wednesday.
The big striker, who grabbed a brace in Australia's 3-0 win over New Zealand last week, scored in the 37th and 83rd minutes as the reigning champions claimed their third consecutive win to move up to seventh.
Kennedy's first was a simple tap-in, while his second was a trademark header from a corner.
Elsewhere, Alex Brosque netted a stoppage-time penalty to clinch a 2-1 win for Shimizu S-Pulse over Montedio Yamagata.
Brosque, who played a full game, coolly slotted the spotkick to the keeper's right. Eddy Bosnar also put in a full shift.
Meanwhile, Matthew Spiranovic played a full 90 minutes helping struggling Urawa Red Diamonds keep a clean sheet and claim a useful 0-0 draw at third-placed Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
In Korea's FA Cup, Sasa Ognenovski's Seongnam Ilhwa moved into the final eight with a 2-0 win at Incheon United.
Elsewhere, Iain Fyfe's Busan I'Park won 2-1 at K-League leaders Jeonbuk Motors, while Robbie Cornthwaite's Chunnam Dragons also progressed after an extra-time 1-0 win over Jeju United.
In Russia's Premier League, Socceroo Luke Wilkshire played a full game as Dinamo Moscow lost 3-0 at Rubin Kazan on Tuesday.
