Perth Glory attacking ace Diego Castro ‘thrives’ on the boos from rival fans, said teammate Andy Keogh.
The Spaniard earned the ire of Adelaide United supporters on Friday night when he went down under minimal contact from Dylan McGowan to earn and convert the equalising penalty on the cusp of half-time.
Thereafter every touch of the ball by Castro was met with a chorus of boos as both teams battled for the three points at Coopers Stadium before settling for a 1-1 draw.
“He loves people to take notice of him and I think he showed in the second half performance that it didn’t affect him one bit.
“And long may it continue. I hope everyone boos him.”

Match report: McGree shines in Reds, Glory stalemate

Keogh was subbed on 89 minutes and required stitches post-match but said he would fine to line-up next week.
“I was trying to take Riley McGree out and his studs caught my shin and gave me a bit of a gash,” he quipped.
The Irishman said Glory will be buoyed by the fightback after going behind to McGowan's opener on 23 minutes.
“We showed good character,” he said.
“We had chances in the first half, Eugene Galekovic made some good saves. I think we limited them in the first half.
"Second half they got the better of us. We got the penalty which there were a few arguments about but you win some and lose some."

Glory remain three points off the top four but with their last two games of the season at nib Stadium against Brisbane Roar (4th) and Melbourne City (3rd) a home final is still within their grasp.
They’ll also welcome back influential players Rhys Williams and Rostyn Griffiths who were both missing for Friday’s match against the Reds.
“Rhys has been with the Socceroos – he should be full of confidence and Griffiths is the captain so you’ve got two massive players (returning),” Keogh said.
“It’s what you want, it sets it up for a great end to the season, and at home as well.
“Hopefully we pack in the stadium and if we win those games we’ll finish top four."
