Matildas star Samantha Kerr has been named as one of 10 nominees for the 2017 Best FIFA Women's Player.
Kerr has been shortlisted alongside England's Lucy Bronze and Jodie Taylor, Venezuela's Deyna Castellanos, Denmark's Pernille Harder, USA's Carli Lloyd, Germany's Dzsenifer Marozsan, France's Wendie Renard, Holland's Lieke Martens and Vivianne Miedema.
She is the first ever Australian to be nominated for the award, which was previously known as the FIFA Women's World Player of the Year until 2016.

Kerr scored four goals as Australia lifted the Tournament of Nations trophy, knocking off USA, Japan and Brazil, having won the Julie Dolan Medal and Penny Tanner Media MVP Award earlier this year.
Among Kerr's goals was a hat-trick in the 4-2 win over Japan, along with Australia's final strike in the 6-1 crushing of Brazil.
The 23-year-old has also been in stunning form with Sky Blue FC in the United States' National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).
Kerr has scored 11 goals and provided three assists for Sky Blue FC, who sit sixth after 18 rounds.
The Perth-born talent's goals for Sky Blue this season, led to her becoming the all-time NWSL top scorer with 37 goals.Â

Kerr also helped Perth Glory reach the 2016/17 W-League Grand Final, which they lost 2-0 to Melbourne City.
She was the W-League's second top scorer with 10 goals and claimed the Julie Dolan Medal and Penny Tanner Media MVP Awards in May, as Glory finished runners-up.
The winner of the award will be chosen by a process involving the four main stakeholders involved in football: national team coaches, captains, selected media and the fans.Â
Fan voting starts on Monday 21 August at FIFA.com and closes on 7 September, taking the period 20 November 2016 to 6 August 2017 inclusive into account.Â
The final lists of three nominees for the men’s and women’s player and coach categories – as well as for the FIFA Puskás Award, the FIFA Fan Award and the brand new The Best FIFA Goalkeeper Award – will be announced in mid-September.
Meanwhile, Matildas boss Alen Stajcic was overlooked for the Best FIFA Women's Coach award despite the side's success during the period.
