Harry Kewell is the running to become the next manager of League Two club Port Vale, according to reports.
The Stoke Sentinel claims that Kewell is one of the favourites to take over at the Valiants.
Danny Pugh has been the caretaker following the resignation of Neil Aspin.
Former Macclesfield and Shrewsbury boss John Askey is also believed to be among the candidates.
Kewell has been without a job since his sacking at Notts County in November.
Port Vale are currently 18th in the 24-team division with only eight wins from 30 games this season.
Club owner Norman Smurthwaite recently requested help from police to tackle abuse from some fans.
