Harry Kewell says he doesn't miss his playing days and gets a bigger buzz from managing.
Kewell hung up his boots in 2014 and began his coaching career with Watford's Under 23s a year later.
In August he took over at League Two club Notts County.
Asked if he joins in at Notts' training sessions, Kewell told the BBC: "I have no passion to join in anymore.
"I look back at my career and I gave everything. There's nothing more that drives me from going out here.
"I've had my time and I love what I do now. I enjoy it and this what I feel I was meant to do."
Kewell said the buzz he gets from coaching is "10 times better" than the feelings he had on the pitch as a player.
"The way I have my ideas and to be able to make your players believe in those ideas and when you see movements come off, or players listen to your ideas and they do it - it's so rewarding," the Socceroo said.
"For example, when you scored a goal when you played everyone asks what's that feeling like. And it is an unbelievable feeling. For that one moment, you're the one everyone's cheering about and you think 'wow'. Nothing can ever match that.
"And you hear stories that this can match it, but nothing can ever match it. I sit there and when my team scores I get that same feeling if I'd scored it and it's so much more joy."
